With Merk Crandle's passing in March 2003, the future of Magnus was uncertain at best. A dear friend and founding member was lost. The remaining members (Tipps and Thompson) moved on to different bands and different parts of the country. Summer 2007, however, found them both back in Fort Worth, and they began jamming the old songs together again. With Thompson taking over vocal duties and the addition of Schultz on guitar, the decision was made to revive the band. Nearly four years later, this album is the result of their efforts.

Although Merk is no longer with us physically, he is with us constantly in spirit. This album is dedicated wholly to our friend. His vocal tracks from the 2002 Magnus demo were salvaged, and can be heard side by side with Thompson's on this recording. We could think of no better way to honor him and carry on his memory.
